Last minute Party Food: Christmas cheese board and Honey Grape Bites

As Christmas is nearly here I thought I would share a couple of final quick ideas for entertaining.

I saw this festive way to serve cheese on Pinterest. Luckily I actually have the perfect festive wooden chopping board so this makes getting the shape really easy. Simply dice a few different types and textures of cheese into similar sized pieces and place on a chopping board, along with some grapes and/or dried fruit. You could also include diced cooked chorizo for extra flavour. Serve with crackers on the side.

For some super quick appetisers or a different type of dessert, these little tarts are both sweet and savoury with honey, grapes, cheese and nuts. To make, cut 5cm/2 inch discs from a sheet of ready-made shortcrust pastry, then top each disc with a few seedless grape pieces, some fruity soft cheese and a sprinkle of flaked almonds. Drizzle with a little honey and bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes until the pastry is golden.
