Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas will soon be here, so thought I would share a few alternative side dishes for those who like to plan their menu in advance. Any of these would also make ideal plates to take if you are invited elsewhere for dinner over the holidays.
This Cranberry and Walnut Pilaf is very festive and easy to make too.
Do something different with your potatoes – Crunchy Potato Peel Pie.
If you live in a warmer climate, try my cold Potato and Prosciutto Salad.
Avoid the carbs with some home-made Coleslaw instead.
Or, you might like to try some Herb and Mustard Yorkshire Puddings. (These are a traditional side dish in the UK, but rarely found in the USA.)
Whatever you choose – enjoy!
